Indian Institutes of Technology

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are a group of autonomous public engineering institutes of higher education. The IITs are governed by the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 which has declared them as “institutions of national importance”, and lays down their powers, duties, framework for governance etc.
The Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 lists sixteen institutes located at 
Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mandi, Mumbai, Patna, Ropar, Roorkee and Varanasi. Each IIT is an autonomous institution, linked to the others through a common IIT Council, which oversees their administration.

Eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2013

• Candidates are required to obtain a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (subject to a minimum of 60% in each of these three subjects) in their 12^th class examination which should be done from any recognized Central or State board or its equivalent.Candidate appearing for 12^th class examination in 2013 or passed the 12^th class examination in 2012 are eligible to BITSAT 2013
• If a student has taken more than one attempt in 12^th class or its equivalent then only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
• Students who have passed 12^th examination in year 2011 or earlier and students who are presently studying in BITSat any of its campuses are not eligible to BITSAT 2013

BITSAT 2013 Application form

Candidate seeking admission in BITS have to apply an ONLINE application form for BITSAT 2013 which are available on the official website of BITSAT 2013 and the payment for BITSAT 2013 Application Form of Rs. 1600/- for Male Candidates and Rs. 1100/- for Female Candidates can be made online . While, Candidates who want to do payment via DD can do so by sending a copy of completely filled BITSAT 2013 Application Form with a DD of Rs. 1700/- for Male Candidates and Rs. 1200/- for Female Candidates to Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani – 333031. However, the candidates who are applying for DUBAI as Examination Center will have to pay an application fee of US$ 50 for BITSAT 2013 Application Form, both for Male and Female candidates.The last date for applying BITSAT 2013 will suppose to be around the 3^rd to 4^th week of February 2013.

VITEEE-2013 NOTIFICATION

Aspirants who want to get Admission for B.Tech and Undergraduate Programs in Vellore Institute of Technology VIT Vellore Campus and Chennai Campus for the academic year 2013 are here by Informed that Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam VITEEE 2013 Application Process has been Started.Students who are interested to apply for VITEEE 2013 Entrance Test Can apply Online for VITEEE 2013 OR can apply through the OMR Applications (Offline). Students who want to apply for VIT University Undergraduate programs offered in VIT University Vellore and Chennai campus can Apply Online OR Offline Modes for VITEEE 2013 Entrance Exam.

VITEEE 2013 Exam Date :-

The Computer Based Test [CBT] will be conducted from 15th April 2013 to 30th April 2013.

Where To Get The Application Form :-

Students can get application form by either of two modes online of offline modes.

 

Online method: -

The Printout of application form should accompany either with 

* DD 900 Drawn in favor VIT University, payable at Vellore (OR)

* Copy of Bank Challan for 900 (OR)

* Use the Net Banking for 900 and sent to the address specified.

 

Offline Method: -

* Students can obtain from the designated branches of post offices on cash payment of 950/-

* By sending a Demand Draft for 950/- [Computerized DD] drawn in favor of ‘VIT University’ payable at Vellore to the address of Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore with a request letter containing the complete address with Mobile number.

* By handing over a DD of 950/- in person at VIT University.

 

VITEEE 2013 Results :-

The result will be announced in the month of first week of May.
